Medicare clients now available!
Bridging Psychology is now offering psychological service to individuals under Medicare Benefit Schedule and private clients.
You can obtain a referral by your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician to access up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year under the Better Access to Mental Health Care which is funded by Medicare.
To access mental health treatment under Medicare you must be referred by your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. Your referring practitioner can decide how many sessions you will receive in a course of treatment. The maximum session limit for each course of treatment is set out below:
- Initial course of treatment – You can obtain a maximum of six sessions.
- Subsequent course of treatment – You can receive an additional four sessions in a subsequent course of treatment.
A written report is provided by the allied mental health professional following a course of treatment will be considered by your GP in assessing tour clinical need for further sessions after each course of treatment.
Bridging Psychology now also offers EMDR treatment at our Lynbrook, Malvern and Croydon locations.
