Pricing & Funding

Insight PBS is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports. Our pricing and funding arrangements reflect the 2025–26 NDIS PAPL, effective from 1 July 2025, ensuring consistency across all states and territories. Pricing decisions are informed by the NDIA’s annual review process, which combines market data, research and stakeholder feedback.

We understand that funding and pricing can be complicated and confusing. Feel free to contact us on 1300 824 930 or hello@insightpbs.com.au

Travel Fees for Behaviour Support

In line with the rules for provider travel for therapy providers, the hourly price limit for provider travel is 50% of the regular price limit.

Time-cap limits per region:
– 30 minutes each way in metro (MMM 1–3)
– 60 minutes each way in regional (MMM 4–5)
– No time caps in remote (MMM 6) and very remote (MMM 7)

For example, where a Specialist Behavioural Intervention Practitioner travelled 30 minutes to a participant, the price limit for this travel time would be $58.25, not $116.50.

Billing code: 11_023_0110_7_3

See below table outlining the different location categories that we follow:

Non-labour Travel costs

In addition to billable travel time allowances, Insight PBS practitioners may also bill per km travel. This will depend on the allocated funding for ‘non-labour travel costs’ already included in the participant’s plan.

Cost: $0.99/km

For participants that are far away from the practitioner, a practitioner may line up appointments, and see multiple participants in one day. This will reduce the overall cost of travel significantly.

There is a question in our referral form that asks for this information. That way, you’ll know if you’ll be billed this amount or not before service delivery begins.

Psychology

For participants accessing Psychology under our sister-arm, Bridging Psychology, pricing has also changed, coming into effect on July 1st.

Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living
The APR has recommended that all of Psychology should now have the same national rate of $232.99. While this is a $10/hour increase in VIC, NSW, QLD and ACT, it does mean a $11.23/hour cut in WA, SA, TAS and NT.

  • One national rate of $232.99 for Metro and Rural
  • One national rate of $326.19 for Remote
  • One national rate of $349.49 for Very Remote

How the new Funding Periods work

From 19th May 2025, funding will now be delivered in periods. Funding periods are more effective when set at a duration that is not over an extended period.

Funding periods will usually be set at 3-months on the basis this gives flexibility to participants but isn’t so big as not to be in line with budgets and/or funds provided to people in other aspects of life.

Staged funding is a common approach across Australian Government programs. It means funding is provided in parts over time, rather than all at once.

This helps people manage their budgets and supports consistent use of funding over the length of the plan.

Got questions about PACE?

The NDIA have made a significant change to the way providers claim for services and the way participants control their funds. This change has been a long time coming and it has now kicked off.

There are a lot of details out there for providers about PACE and how it affects their billing procedures. But what do participants need to know? Here are some essential things you, as a participant, should be aware of regarding PACE:

Are you Self-Funded?

We that individuals on the NDIS manage their funding differently, including self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed options. Each type of funding offers varying levels of flexibility and control, allowing participants to choose what works best for them. As an organisation, we remain dedicated to supporting all individuals by continuing to offer services for those with plan-managed and NDIA-managed funding. We aim to ensure every participant has access to high-quality Positive Behaviour Support.

As of September 2024 however, Insight PBS does not to accept self-managed NDIS participants.

You can read more about this decision, and what to do if you are self-funded via the button below
