Why here, not somewhere else

Every employer says they’re supportive. Here’s our evidence.

We don’t ask you to take culture claims on faith. Each of these comes with proof you can check before you apply.

You’ll stay, and so will the team around you

High turnover doesn’t just hurt participants; it strands people without stable teams, supervision or peers. Our practitioners typically stay two to four years, which means the colleagues you build your career alongside will still be here next year.

Work where the field learns

Practitioners at other providers read our publication and attend our professional development webinars. Here, that machine is a staff benefit: sector-leading PD, clinical writing and events are part of the job, not something you chase after hours.

Proof1,000+ practitioner subscribers to our publication · quarterly PD events open to the whole sector

Workloads protected by honesty

We publish our wait times publicly rather than overloading the people we have. That discipline protects practitioner caseloads, keeps support team workloads sane, and means we only grow where we can actually serve.

Real employment, not a contractor gamble

Ads promising higher starting rates, no KPIs and “work your own hours” usually mean contracting. No leave, no super guarantee, personal liability, and no team when things get hard. Every Insight PBS staff member is a full-time employee with the full safety net.

Beyond the caseload

It takes more than practitioners

Behind every behaviour support plan is a support team that keeps the whole organisation running across four states. These teams hire too, and they’re built on the same terms: full-time employment, remote work, and people who stay.

Finance

Invoicing, payments and payroll, so every staff member is paid what they’re owed, every cycle.

Marketing & Sales

Keeps referrals flowing and our publication, webinars and brand in front of the sector.

Admin

Service agreements, intake and the day-to-day coordination that keeps participants and practitioners connected.

Compliance

Keeps our NDIS registration, quality standards and restrictive practice obligations watertight.

Clinical Admin

Plan uploads, reporting and clinical documentation support, so practitioners can practise instead of push paper.

Operations

The systems, processes and logistics that keep a fully remote team running smoothly across four states.

People & Culture

Hiring, onboarding and staff wellbeing. The team behind the culture our 5-Star Employer of Choice award recognised.

Support team roles open as we grow and are advertised on our company Seek page when they do. If one of these teams sounds like you, register your interest and tell us which team, and we’ll contact you when a role opens.

FAQ

Careers at Insight PBS, answered

What does a Behaviour Support Practitioner do at Insight PBS?

A Behaviour Support Practitioner conducts assessments to understand behaviours of concern, develops and implements tailored behaviour support plans, collects and analyses data to refine interventions, collaborates with families, carers and stakeholders, provides training and guidance, and ensures ethical, person-centred support within the NDIS framework.

What are the four levels of Behaviour Support Practitioners?

The four levels are Core (entry level, focusing on assessments and plans under supervision), Proficient (experienced, with added analysis and supervision capabilities), Advanced (high-level problem-solving and practice leadership), and Specialist (an expert in a niche area, providing specialised supervision). Each has its own page above with the full role, and you can progress through all four here.

Do you hire roles other than practitioners?

Yes. Insight PBS is supported by Finance, Marketing & Sales, Admin, Compliance, Clinical Admin, Operations and People & Culture teams. These roles open as we grow and are advertised on our company Seek page. Register your interest and mention the team you’re interested in.

How do I apply?

When roles are open, they’re live on our company Seek page and linked from the role pages on this site. When they’re not, register your interest and you’ll be contacted as soon as a role opens in your state. Applications need a current CV, copies of relevant qualifications and registrations, and a cover letter.

Do I need a cover letter?

Yes. Insight PBS does not consider applications without a cover letter. It should explain why you’re interested in joining Insight PBS and how your background aligns with the role. And make sure not to copy-paste a cover letter from an AI tool; they’re becoming increasingly obvious.

Are the roles remote?

Yes. Our roles are fully remote across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia, which means no commute and a structure that supports productivity from wherever you live.

How does supervision work?

Supervision is covered entirely in-house. Core practitioners are supervised by a Proficient or higher practitioner, with regular coaching and progress monitoring. Higher levels involve peer supervision and supervising others. You never need to source or pay for external supervision to progress.

How does career progression work?

Progression is capability-based rather than time-based. Applications to move up a level open every six months, and advancement depends on demonstrated skills, supervision and professional development. All of it happens in-house, so you don’t change employers to change levels.

What benefits does Insight PBS offer?

All staff are full-time employees on the SCHADS award with 12% superannuation, bonus incentives, and full leave entitlements including annual, sick, personal, mental health, parental, study, community service, grievance and long service leave. Professional indemnity is covered for all staff, hours are capped at 38 per week with no weekends, and professional development and supervision are built in.

Do I need NDIS registration or specific clearances?

Every worker needs to pass an NDIS Screening Check and hold a Working with Children Check. Practitioner qualifications must be in NDIS-recognised fields, and all work adheres to legislative requirements, including restrictive practice obligations.

How to apply

Three steps, and what we’re looking for in each

Find your role

Practitioners: pick your level above and read the full role page and Position Description. Support teams: check the team descriptions above and our company Seek page for openings.

Prepare your application

Your current CV, copies of relevant qualifications and registrations, and a short cover letter. The cover letter matters to us. It’s how we hear your voice and your reasons before we meet you, and applications without one aren’t progressed.
